The Supportive Classroom

The Supportive Classroom curriculum was developed at the University of Vermont. The blog and podcast are used to share the ideas and accomplishments of schools that are implementing the Supportive Classroom. The Core Concepts of Belonging, Trust, Sharing and Respect form the foundation of the curriculum.

Reflection and processing with students is a critical step when learning new skills. Reflecting on multiple examples of core concepts and collaborative skills across the curriculum, the music they listen to, the tv shows and movies they watch and in their relationships with peers helps student "live" the curriculum.
