The Supportive Classroom curriculum was developed at the University of Vermont. The blog and podcast are used to share the ideas and accomplishments of schools that are implementing the Supportive Classroom. The Core Concepts of Belonging, Trust, Sharing and Respect form the foundation of the curriculum.
An earlier posting (Sept. 9th) described a "getting to know you" activity using Venn Diagrams from Sally Fuesner's and Micheala Whitman's 3/4 classes at Hindsburg Community School. As promised, here is a sample diagram for your viewing.

The Swanton School Team is back from Atlanta. Swanton Elementary School was a finalist for the 2005 National Schools of Character Award. The team was recognized at a special lunch where they received their award! Great Job Swanton students, families, staff and community members.
