The Supportive Classroom curriculum was developed at the University of Vermont. The blog and podcast are used to share the ideas and accomplishments of schools that are implementing the Supportive Classroom. The Core Concepts of Belonging, Trust, Sharing and Respect form the foundation of the curriculum.
This is the place where School Teams can share school-wide and community activites to highlight and reinforce the Core Concepts and Collaborative skills. These activities and projects cut across classrooms and serve to involve a set of classrooms (e.g., the primary wing, the middle school) or the entire school community.

The Swanton School Team is back from Atlanta. Swanton Elementary School was a finalist for the 2005 National Schools of Character Award. The team was recognized at a special lunch where they received their award! Great Job Swanton students, families, staff and community members.
