Posted on May 24, 2006

EDSP 202: Students with Significant Disabilities: Characteristics and Educational Interventions: ISE is being offered this summer during Camp GIZMO at Castleton State College, Castelton, VT.

Camp GIZMO runs from June 18, 2006 through June 22, 2006. Camp GIZMO activities are built around several focus children with multiple disabilities and their families. It offers a "Kids Camp" of safe, fun activities, "Bright Ideas Teams" to identify and apply strategies for solving focus children's assistive technology needs, and "Food for Thought Workshops." Students taking EDSP 202 will have opportunities to work at the Kids Camp, meet with Bright Ideas Teams and attend Food for Thought Workshops as a part of this course. It is a fantastic opportunity for teachers who want to learn more about students with severe disabilities and/or deaf-blindness in a fun, interactive environment.

You can access the Camp GIZMO website from the RESOURSE LINKS to the right of this article.
