Vermont I-Team & ISE Endorsement Program News

The Vermont State I-Team is a State funded team of professionals and parents who provide consultative services to educators and families of students with intensive educational needs including severe multiple disabilities, dual sensory impairments and autism. The Intensive Special Education (ISE) Endorsement Program is a 24-credit course sequence which will result in participants earning an endorsement in Intensive Special Education to add to their Vermont Special Education License.


Opportunity for Vermont Teachers Certified in Special Education

The University of Vermont and the Vermont Department of Education are seeking licensed special educators who will commit to taking part in a part-time graduate program (24 credits) leading to an endorsement in Intensive Special Education. These credits may be transferred towards an advanced degree. The first cohort of 8 students is entering into their second year of courswork and a second cohort for the ISE program begins this summer and will be offered in the Northeast Kingdom and the Rutland areas. The program is being developed and is taught by members of the State I-Team and consists of 6 courses and a 2 field-based practicum courses. The program operates on a first come first served basis.
